After years of neck ties, DVD box sets and cologne as gifts, I decided I have to get creative and get my Dad something really exciting for his birthday this year. After racking my brain I decided to surf the web for some unique gift ideas. I love the internet! He loves sports, but he’s real passion is for music. If it was my choice, I think I’d be looking at the Coldplay, Madonna or Nickelback tickets. But, to be fair, I don’t really think any of them are at the top of my Dad’s list, he’s a little old school. Instead, I think it’s probably between the Barry Manilow Tickets or maybe even the Tina Turner Tickets. This is really going to be tough!

Barry Manilow makes me think of romance and middle aged women swooning over the music, so that may be better left to a date with my Mom. On the other hand, we could really jam out to “Mandy” and “Copacabana”. I can still hear my Dad singing along with the radio, “At the Copa, Copacabana… The hottest spot north of Havana…”. I have to say though, Tina Turner still knows how to seriously rock out.
